2020 – HAPPY NEW YEAR ๐Ÿฅณ

HAPPY NEW YEAR – WARNING ๐Ÿšซ … honesty post!

My first post of ๐Ÿ’š2020๐Ÿ’š … how very exciting ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

Here it is … Iโ€™m not a huge fan of a New Yearโ€™s resolution …. why? Well sometimes the goals you set yourself can be so large (or unrealistic) that itโ€™s possible to line yourself up for failure, push yourself too hard … or achieve your goals … โ€˜GOODโ€™ … but at a cost … โ€˜NOT SO GOODโ€™๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ.

Speaking from personal experience here ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ. I am very guilty of setting myself huge goals ๐Ÿฅ… (always have) … do I normally achieve them? … well yes … at a physical or mental cost … well sometimes!!!???

Last year it was not unusual for me to sometimes turn off my pc at 2am … only to be ready to go again at 6am (ask my poor hubby ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ). Do I have a business and lifestyle I love? Yes, Yes YES ๐Ÿ‘ … were there times where I came close (physically) to not being able to teach a class/PT session, deliver a presentation or hit an assignment deadline …. ABSOLUTELY! ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

So what is the point of me sharing this with you all๐Ÿ‘‚???? … I have 20 + years worth of clients who Iโ€™ve led to achieve long term positive changes in their lives by:-

1. Making their changes small and realisitic

2. Setting small achievable goals and re-adjusting these each time the goal is reached

3. Adjusting target times in accordance with lifeโ€™s challenges and not beating themselves up when these timescales have to be readjusted.

SOOOOO … my New Yearโ€™s Resolution (even though I donโ€™t believe in them ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿคฃ) is to take the same advice I give my clients!!! … small steps … slow down … but most of all … STOP AND SMELL THE COFFEE (decaf of course ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚)

I wish you all health and much happiness for 2020
