2020 – HAPPY NEW YEAR πŸ₯³

HAPPY NEW YEAR – WARNING 🚫 … honesty post!

My first post of πŸ’š2020πŸ’š … how very exciting πŸ˜ƒ.

Here it is … I’m not a huge fan of a New Year’s resolution …. why? Well sometimes the goals you set yourself can be so large (or unrealistic) that it’s possible to line yourself up for failure, push yourself too hard … or achieve your goals … β€˜GOOD’ … but at a cost … β€˜NOT SO GOODβ€™πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ.

Speaking from personal experience here πŸ™‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ. I am very guilty of setting myself huge goals πŸ₯… (always have) … do I normally achieve them? … well yes … at a physical or mental cost … well sometimes!!!???

Last year it was not unusual for me to sometimes turn off my pc at 2am … only to be ready to go again at 6am (ask my poor hubby πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ). Do I have a business and lifestyle I love? Yes, Yes YES πŸ‘ … were there times where I came close (physically) to not being able to teach a class/PT session, deliver a presentation or hit an assignment deadline …. ABSOLUTELY! πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

So what is the point of me sharing this with you allπŸ‘‚???? … I have 20 + years worth of clients who I’ve led to achieve long term positive changes in their lives by:-

1. Making their changes small and realisitic

2. Setting small achievable goals and re-adjusting these each time the goal is reached

3. Adjusting target times in accordance with life’s challenges and not beating themselves up when these timescales have to be readjusted.

SOOOOO … my New Year’s Resolution (even though I don’t believe in them 😜🀣) is to take the same advice I give my clients!!! … small steps … slow down … but most of all … STOP AND SMELL THE COFFEE (decaf of course πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)

I wish you all health and much happiness for 2020
