HOME MADE FLAT BREADS πŸ˜ƒ

Ingredients:- 300g plain flour (keep 75g back for dusting & adjusting dough), 1/2 tsp salt, 50g butter, 185 ml milk, oil for cooking.

Combine butter & milk and gently heat until butter is just about melted. Combine with flour, salt and milk. Sprinkle work surface with spare flour and knead for 2 mins until smooth … add extra flour if too sticky, cover in cling film and leave at room temperature for 30mins.

Dust work surface with flour, cut dough into four pieces and roll out into flat breads about 0.3cm thick.

Heat oil in skillet or large frying pan.

Place one flatbread in pan and cook for around 1 – 1 1/2 mins until the bread starts to bubble up, then flip and continue.. the bread should puff up a little and golden brown spots should form.

Wrap in a damp tea towel or coat in olive oil to keep breads soft.

If you coat these in olive oil and garlic they taste just like Nan Bread …. πŸ˜‹
