Let’s face it there is a lot of conflicting information out there when it comes to health and fitness and if you’re a beginner this can be really overwhelming 😌.
However there are also many guidelines on which health organisations DO concur 🤩 … one of which is that 150 mins of moderate exercise per week is enough to lower your risk of serious health conditions (cancer, diabetes, coronary heart disease to mention just a few) by as much as 30% 👏.
So lets break that down 💁♀️ … what is moderate exercise? … anything that elevates your heart rate and is sustainable for over 10 mins is a good guide … so a brisk walk etc 🏃🏼♀️.
30 mins 5 times a week is enough to change your fitness and wellbeing and makes significant life changes 😃… however if you are currently pretty sedentary that may seem like a big ask 😊… BUT did you know? … You don’t have to do the 30 mins all in one go to achieve great gains… you can do just 10 mins 3 times a day😁.
So if you are at the very beginning of your fitness/health journey try this 😍 …
WEEK 1 - 1 x 10 mins, MON, WED & FRI (with some leisurely outdoor walking Sat or Sun)
WEEK 2 - 2 x 10 mins, MON, WED & FRI (as above)
WEEK 3 - 3 X 10 mins, MON, WED & FRI …. Adding in just 10 mins on Tues & Thursday …
